This is a rough take of an original (as yet unnamed) composition using an Akai EWI 4000s, modified Yamaha VL-70m synth and Boss RC-50 loopstation. The loops are all recorded live except for the drums.

  • Sounds great. What modification have you done to the vl-70? Do you use any other external synth modules or effects.

    Many thanks

  • My vl-70 has the patchman turbo chip installed...I highly recommend it :)

  • sounds great, just got a boss rc-20 loop station and having fun looping...am very interested in the ewi, want to buy one at some point, but have a few questions...can one adapt the ewi to the finger style of a recorder somehow, which is what i am used to???...and for changing keys does one need to know many various finger patterns for each key, or is it just a matter of dialing somehow the various keys????...please pardon me musical knowledge, i play by ear mostly....mahalo and aloha, forest

  • guauuuuuuu

  • muy bueno , gracias

  • I wonder what green onions could sound like with a ewi and looping technology. I bet you could make a good job of it, judging by how good the Chameleon video was.

  • Hey Man, give us something new.

  • crazy harmony

  • Nasty, dude.

  • Damn, that's a groove.

  • not easy to play, well done!

    pure MB style!

  • Sound like a good pice of kit, is it hard to learn??
