Duan sam : bun khao chi (third lunar month : making merit by offering roast glutinous rice to monks) Roast glutinous rice balls with unrefined cane sugar inside andsalt and egg outside are brought to the preaching hall by villarers. While monks are saying prayers, the villagers put rice balls into almsbowls. After having meal, monks bless and then some monks preach on several topics all day for celebrating khao chi Nowadays, Makha Bucha Day is observed on the full-moon day. It is one of important days for Buddhists.
