btw lol at the illegal copy of office 2007 xD

It's fast. The videos to show the installation of the RC (which installed slowly mind you) and then he shows the first boot up (which is the slowest). More of a demonstration rather than benchmark. And system specs don't matter for an SSD as long as you have a decent CPU (any dual core). It seems like you just wanted to flaunt you're system.

@ThatEvilGuy It is mindblowing fast, belive me! Watch some linustechtips vids about his ssd's and you will see the difference.. your programs will never open in 5 or 10 sec like word probably does, they will load on 1,5 sec as max.. even photoshop is opening in about 2 sec, and that is pretty fast.. check out the videos.

i think its ur cpu and ram that makes the installation slow

realy fast! what's your system specs?? please tell me..
-
nice video!! pretty fast!! what is your download speed??? my is 650kb/s
-
its fast on the video very fast ^^
-
correction: it would be faster with just the os if you would not install any programs at all though but i dont see the point of that.
-
no, the os still has to load a lot of files from programs while booting windows. with these programs on a regular hdd it will only slow it down. besides, you probably do not only want your os but also the programs you run on it to be fast.

@bverstee Hi. I have posted this question a few times but no answer. I have 80GB hard disk partitioned into 5 I like to keep it that way. If I install windows 7 will It really take 15GB from the system drive? because I don't even have that much.
thanks and congrats on the ssd
I don't know, it is fast, but it does not look THAT much faster so justify such a price for it.

I agree any ssd is very expensive at this moment, but of course there are always people like me who can't wait: I can't wait to buy upgrades like these, and I can't wait till my computer finishes a task - both problems are solved when buying a ssd. In about 2 and a half years ssd's will become mainstream and will be as expensive as a conventional harddisk.

Congratulations on your purchase bverstee, I don't mind paying a premium and I was about to buy a 160GB version, till I saw your vid. It's just that I expected it to be mindblowingly fast.
How do you find it in everyday tasks?

Well, mindblowing fast! ;) Almost all apps start within a second, my computer only needs 4 seconds to get out of standby (S3 state), and Windows 7 makes the computer feel more smooth then ever. I say it's a golden combination: an ssd with Windows 7. I will certainly offer that combination for sale (I sell computers as one of my hobbies).
