This is a blanket argument, and is as empty as it sounds. To sum it up to "two sides of the same coin" would be a gross misunderstanding of the electoral process, and the principles that Conservative Americans hold dear. We've had marvelous times of prosperity and progress during those 100 years you speak of, and to just say "well they're both awful, just abandon what you believe!" (paraphrasing obviously) is completely and utterly dodging the core issue of WHY we have these problems today.
