I am very touched by this, especiall coming from another pacific island nation. I do hope that our govt, Fiji assist and get those 11,000 people in one of their 300+ islands. The South Pacific Festival in Fiji was very quiet after Miss Tuvalu pleaded for help and aid from their South Pacific Neighbours. Fiji ones accept all those Banabans from Kiribati, why cant they do it again??? 4 d love of God lets save our neighbour.

Fiji and Australia did offer the residency for the Tavalu people to relocated anytime they want. But it's the people from Tuvalu who are not willing to leave (yet).

I have taken photos of Tuvalu and Kiribati 35 years ago. You can find them on Web shots by doing a search on "coopec100")

The media tells you that mankind did this because they have something to sell, an agenda. So sorry to break it to you. Yes it is sad but blaming humanity is counter productive. The folks should move to higher ground and make good life for their children, grandchildren etc.

So are you saying that mandkind's greed hasn't caused any of the destruction on this planet? I don't see how we can't help but blame ourselves for the extinction of many species, pollution of the air, land and water and desecration of the natural rhythm of life.

Too bad climate change is natural and inevitable. It has very little to do with how you live your life as a human. No disrespect to the folks of Tuvalu but I would find any way possible to live on higher ground (i.e. not Tuvalu)

Give me a Backhoe or exlavator and Ill fix the island in no time.

Well put Elenituvala thanks for reminding these people. It is sinking. It is not our fault but some spindoctors say the sea is rising to make westeners feel guilty enough to pay higher taxes.

Anyway the UNESCO has a plan to steal the islands and remove the people just do some reseach if you don't believe me.
