Are you for fixing the system to help them come legally.

Good video. I wonder what effect the minimum wage has, like if there were no minimum wage would we see the negative effect of mass immigration on job loss more visibly, because I do find those fiscal analyses a bit hard to believe. I also wonder if illegal immigrants are less likely to report crime. Maybe there's a bunch of, or some, crime in the illegal immigrant community but it's just not reported.

@ithinkronpaulissmart other things" example. Going back to the 45 yr old plumber, what is he freed to do now? Start a new career?
Sorry for so many comments... just haven't seen any counter-arguments to these types of issues on YT and many people like me ask them. I'd appreciate your opinion whenever you get a chance...
Then we can go into crime, culture, etc. LoL I know you can't wait!
P.S. blackacidlizzard is using white-supremacist websites as references... just an FYI

@ithinkronpaulissmart of US wages? What does the career plumber do now, especially at age 45-50, preparing to retire?
3) Same for programmers, IT, accountants.. white-collar jobs easily replaced by Indians for ex. Is it logical for a corp. to hire them at 1/2 price since we already know they can perform (i.e. outsourcing)?
4) Do you see any conflict of people with a lower living standard flooding the US rather than a slow stream of assimilation?
5) I've heard the "it frees up our people to do

@ithinkronpaulissmart 2) With open borders, can we assume an enormous influx of immigrants whom are used to working for 10% of what we pay here? Not just the unskilled factory/farm worker. Plumbers in the US make a decent living right? Auto mechanics, truck drivers, construction workers, electricians... Trades like these can be considered as careers, many lives are devoted to these fields. Can we assume that immigrants of these industries would come here and be happy to work for even half

@ithinkronpaulissmart stats, say state by state, then if you want, aggregate and analyze them this way later.
The reason is, I'm in CA and like many around here say, people in OH shouldn't give their 2 cents on illegal immigration, for instance. It's apples to oranges.
On a fundamental approach, I had a couple questions, etc. that I'd like to hear your opinion on:
1st off, given the current status of the USA, would you open the borders 2mrw? Consider regulations, social benefits, taxes, etc

@ithinkronpaulissmart being conflicting, no consensus, and also report a bias between different medias. Namely, my problem is what they recommended in their conclusion: for future data to be dynamic. This type of technical analysis is nearly impossible to interpret given no standard of measure, although they surely did their best to compensate for it. Not to mention the vast differences geographically, from culture, to politics, to economics.
What I'm saying is, I'd rather have localized

@ithinkronpaulissmart evidence of negative impact for all 4 factors (wages, emp, unemp, labor force participation) in addition to those findings of neg impact w/ stat. sig. Even if wages were technically neg. (down by less than 1% across the board), I wasn't expecting them to be dramatically lowered with respect to legal immigration. In fact, I've seen charts where they go up. Still, even though the outcome favors my argument, I'm not satisfied with this report. They admit to their sources

@ithinkronpaulissmart Thanks for the video. I consider myself a Libertarian, huge Ron Paul fan, etc. but two (BIG) issues I'm iffy on are open borders and outsourcing. All of your issues concern me, but primarily wages/jobs/fiscal.
I skimmed through your 2nd link, since Wiley requires access and anyway it's the same authors, more current, and refers to their old journal from the Wiley link. Though much of their findings were statistically insignificant, they state that there was stronger

Some of the favorite examples given by people into white identity politics as to why it might be a problem are Rhodesia, South Africa, and Detroit
"I'm going to discuss race... I'm not going to discuss culture or politics"
Way to not address the primary concerns of most who are concerned about race.

@blackacidlizzard I wanted to first discuss the arguments that I best understood and could refute the most easily. I do intend to get into those other issues soon, but I think it's worthwhile to make sure everyone agrees on these simpler points first.
Do you know a good video/article which summarizes the race/cultural/political arguments? I've watched some Jared Taylor videos and Individual Autonomy's border control videos. Any other recommendations? Thanks.

@ithinkronpaulissmart
You didn't demonstrate much understanding of the racially-oriented arguments, so mark that part as a failure.
I don't know of a go-to-place for quick summary, I'd advise just doing as I have done and browsing the usual suspects from AmRen and Vdare to National Vanguard, Stormfront, and VNN.

@blackacidlizzard I know some of the political/cultural anti-immigration arguments involve race, and I do intend to address them in my next video. If there is a specific argument you think I should address, I'll be more likely to respond if you provide me with a concise version of it.
Personally, I think it's kind of bs when people say, "your position is wrong. If you want to know why, consult these 10,000 pages of material."

@ithinkronpaulissmart
Heh, I'm not claiming your conclusion is wrong, I'm pointing out that you don't address the arguments advanced by the opposition.
The short summary is one you have probably heard - that there are social and political differences between different racial aggregates, and that there is some level of biological cause involved. To asses these claims you have to examine the evidence and reasoning used by people on both sides of the question.
blackacidlizzard 9 months ago
@blackacidlizzard I'm not sure I disagree with that claim at all. I'm just not sure why it is necessarily a problem.
