Today we went to see an exposition called 'Dinosaur Encounter' at the Ambassador Theatre in Dublin, Ireland. I didn't really know what to expect, so I was even more astonished when I saw these lovely animated statues! The exhibition wasn't too big, besides these animated dinsaurs there were some skeletons, fossils but there was also ALOT of information about dinosaurs. Besides that they were displaying the 'Walking with Dinosaur' series from the BBC in a small cinema room. I already saw all of the episodes twice (I'm quite a Dino-fan..) so I didn't stay to watch this time, but if you haven't seen it yet, you definitely should!
Also, the exhibition is a great opportunity for your kids to learn about the previous inhabitants of our earth. There are some tables were the kids could draw the dinosaurs and a few quiz-tables where they have to guess what part of a dinosaur they are feeling, without looking. (This can be teeth, claws or scales.. That sort of stuff!)
Anyway it was alot of fun and ofcourse the dinosaurs don't bite, so it's completely safe.
