@BraedenX The reason why the word gothic is associated with corvus corax is that some of their music has been featured in the Gothic series of video games.

Do you hear that?
Alexander the Great and his soldiers go into battle!
Postscript: This has nothing to do with the current Slavic Macedonia, or FYROM.

There is a village in the western part of the Republic of Macedonia called Skudrinje ('Скудриње' written in Macedonian language). The name Skudrinka is a noun derived from the name of the village, according to the grammar of the Macedonian language. In this village there is a folk dance called Skudrinka that is played for centuries and is characteristic only for this village. Thanks to all the groups that play a song with this name. Best regards to all of you.

According to one of the members, this song was one of two they just re-recorded for the pilot of the upcoming HBO show "Game of Thrones." They are in a scene in the show playing musicians during the feast at WInterfell.

I find the word "gothic" a lot around corvus corax. I mean, yes, medieval music, hence gothic somewhere, right? But gothic was the style of the cathedrals, a couple of centuries later it was literature and nowadays it's counterculture. And corvus corax does not remind me of any of those... it just makes me smile and wanna dance :D
