(June 3)Seconds after this man walks into a Florida pawn shop... a puff of red smoke appears. Police believe this surveillance tape shows the man who held up a nearby bank Monday morning. And then got away with a wad of cash that contained a red dye packet, from a theft-detection device. SOT- Anderson "he walked up to the teller and he handed her a note. And the note just said, give me some money. She gave him about fifteen-hundred dollars. And at the time, he took the note back from her. She was able to give him a dye pack as well."Det. Frederick Anderson The robber then fled the Fort Lauderdale store and ditched the money. Now, officials are searching for the man, who maybe covered in the red dye.SOT: "It's my understanding that it's red, and he should have some irritation from the mace-like material that did explode with the pack too. So he may be rubbing his eyes or have a serious issue with the burning." Det.
