an infant of 3-4 days hanged with tree near nawanshehar dist of Punjab (India), the face of cruelty, her parents hanged her coz she s a gal infant..... ant and insects bite n wound the cute infant.. its the most cruel example of female infanticide... how com a mother 'kill' her baby in such a cruel way, whom she feed in her womb for 9 months? js coz the infant s a female........ Oh Mother, tain ki dard na aaya???????

The mother probably thought that she was carrying a son because many poor people in India do not have money for ultrasound testing and an abortion if the baby is a girl. Girls in India are seen as a burden by their parents because when they marry, parents must pay the grooms parents a big dowry or no marriage wlll take place. The average cost of a dowry is 35k US. They also leave home at marriage and then belong to their husband's family. A son will take care of the parents in their old age.

@adonaimaranatha Yes and there some countries (i kno china or suttin is one of them) where you're only allowd one kid so they always hope for a boy so it can carry the last name...but regardless these type of people are messed up n im glad i ain't from wack ass countries like india or china etc

THey do it because they think that they would have to pay a dowry to get the baby married to the man's family and also my dad told me that they think that girls are bringing a curse and shame to the family. So I guess India is going to be a mostly male dominated country Soon there would be no more dowries because there would be no weddings.
