@deadjewelry +1 ; Actually I think we need to re-listen Heifetz' version first.
I have difficulties to understand it but maybe is it also a specific recording that we have on YT ?
BTW, the sheet of music is available in the "Heifetz's collection" (I could find the exact name if somebody needs it). I have tried to play this song without looking on YT for recordings and it seemed me quite natural to play it in "Koelman's style".

This is only my opinion but I find this much better than Heifetz's interpretation. Slower, but much more feeling found within this performance. Seriously amazing performance.

Just found an arrangment by Auer of the same peace.Little different as Heifetz did, but very simmilar. Greate played by Koelman. . Thank you

Heifetz's teacher emphasized tone, and Heifetz's opinion of him was, "He was a very great teacher." So it is interesting that many Heifetz students have that as a strength.

Beautiful abroad. I know this song for piano. (I had it at the Conservatory for testing). Implementation viola + piano is beautiful. Congratulations!
