After progressing in Greenscale Blight and finally starting in River of Souls we eventually came to Plutonus.
The Plutonus fight took a bit of practice and we ended up wiping several times when he was below 10%. Eventually we nailed it and continued on to Herald Gaurath.
Gaurath was, in my opinion, one of the more difficult fights in River of Souls. We had to sort out movement for air phases and that was basically our biggest problem at that time. At the start, every air phase was a disaster. Movement was out of synch, often resulting in the debuffed player (and the couple that did follow their path) dropping dead on the floor, ending up wiping us.
Luckily, we killed him on our very first night of attempts.
Then came Alsbeth the Discordant. I was expecting that we would wipe for a couple of days but in reality the fight itself was less difficult than I imagined.
The first difficulty we had was the Wracked Energy debuff. This wiped us for a bit because not everyone was looking at the big message popping up on the screen so they nominated me "shouter".
I had to call out names for those that had to move and those we (ranged) had to stack on.
We then came up to the point where she spawns 3 big adds during her air phase and had a couple of wipes on 10 stacks (meaning boom goes the raid) and other unfortunate things.
Just like Gaurath, we managed to kill her on our first night of attempts. Unfortunately, I don't have footage of that because my PC was in disagreement with me on running my usual recording software (up to the point where it could freeze up my entire system) but on the positive side, our next kill (of which this video was made) was going to be a dual-PoV.
Since our first kill and the fact that our Youtube channel is missing some encounters I wanted to add a couple of multi-PoV videos. It seemed however that no one was up for that except Grimmjow (thanks mate!).
Grimmjow wanted to record the entire fight but the RIFT recorder only allows up to 10 minutes and for some reason it doesn't synchronize with a video recorded using software.
At some points in the track, it desynched from my own footage, forcing me to look for the part that was going to come next.
I found that out when I started working on this video. It took well over 2 hours making it (synchronizing between our videos to make it pick up where the other left) and in the last part I only had footage of myself left. It did make it easier and less time consuming and because I only had footage of myself left I chose a song more fitting for single PoV to finish the video with.
So about this try: We had 1 whole unlucky wipe before this and with confidence we went in again, told her who's boss and ended up with a decent killshot this time (darn you Venny and your big butt blocking off a part of the screenshot! :O)
