Wouldn't an architect need to know all types of woods, metals, plastics, etc.?

Mr. Patt-
Would you consider doing a video about the supplies you use do draft/ design your work? This would include automatic pencils, wood pencils, pencils holders, measuring devices, paper, storage containers, computer programs, etc. I think coming from a REAL professional such as yourself would provide a real learning experience for aspiring architects, just like your other videos. Hope to see it soon, if you consider it!

As always, instructional, informative, and concise! There is no yawning when watching these videos.

very informative video, tyvm!

This is a good video for someone like me who has no idea about business and idea. I guess when you are an architect or in any design field, you want to design more than just buildings or the medium you design.

Doug did you sell your company that designs and distributes birdhouses?

Cool: ) Thx for sharing all this info!
if you try to sell an idea that is not patented to a company, couldn't they just patent it without paying you any thing and claim it as their own?

very perceptive. yes. but with some trouble. As an inventor It's still possible to patent 'around' the idea' (e.g. design patents) or license everything that goes with the idea, e.g. logos like nfl teams, disney, etc... then they've got to go with your patent because you own the licenses.
