  • i just hit a bear last night in WV... neither of us were "not hurt." bear was breathing but never moved. 8 pm - pitch black, just cleared twisties at about 50mph. my separated collarbone, bruised ribs, and ruined brake master cylinder/reservoir and headlight lens have slowed down vacation. bike serviceable - i guess me, too. taking a day off, but 800 miles from home...

  • @chaosk1 I'm glad to hear your OK. Bikes n Bear don't mix. I have come close to hitting deer before also. God bless to you and your family

  • Where the heck is the bear?

  • @tommyboi65 Sir, we came up on this accident after the bear had run off. The state police and tow truck flag later told us what had happen. sorry I did not get to see the bear. I wish I had been there sooner.

  • Gave it a thumbs up. Why? Beats the hell out of me.

  • Damn, could you have gone any slower?

  • Well that was uneventful...

  • @Duluiyah Thank you much. With the help of great friends, including my masterful mechanic, we repaired in a day or so and continued on another 1800 miles or so, including the tremendous mountains of NC & TN. Now to rehab my shoulder - much easier to replace parts!
