On behalf of the World Future Council, Dutch film-maker Jan van den Berg spent time with an indigenous community in the South of Costa Rica to document the positive effects of the country's award-winning Biodiversity Law. Let his beautiful pictures enchant you. Background: On October 25 2010, the World Future Council's Future Policy Award 2010 was presented to Costa Rica for its ground-breaking Biodiversity Law at the UN biodiversity conference in Nagoya, Japan. The aim of the award is to raise global awareness for exemplary policies and speed up policy action towards just, sustainable and peaceful societies. The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity acted as the formal host of the celebratory award ceremony.
