My, how shallow Roxane is. True, Chrsitian cannot speak like Cyrano, whose words would move stone to weep, but his love to her is still sincere. And yet she rejects him, nay, scorns him, when he cannot entertain her with pretty words.The message, the intention of the words, that shows his true character. The medium through which he expresses it should be the icing, not the whole cake.
