About the Event:

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness — these American ideals are foreign to the Palestinians, who are forced to live under circumstances that inhibit their basic freedoms. Silence is complicity - one must rise up and stand strong against injustice. As activist Amir Abdel Malik Ali will argue, If there is any chance for the Palestinians to free themselves from the chains of oppression, it is up to not only them, but everyone with a moral conscience to take a stand against unjust regimes in the world such as the Israeli government.

About the Speaker:

Amir Abdel Malik is an inspiring speaker and community activist, that has dedicated his life to building the American Muslim community. He reverted to Islam while in college after being inspired by the struggles of Malcolm X, and has strived to follow his legacy of speaking truth to power and community grassroots mobilization.
