By the end of the year 1991, i thought i had heard everything there was to be heard in music: classical, pop, techno, metal, etc... but then, came Nevermind, the one album that changed my ENTIRE perspective on music, and now that we're celebrating 20 years from its release, i got my hands on the new Super Deluxe Edition released to commemorate this, and let me tell you, i feel 20 years younger now :) ...this is my review of this must-have for every Nirvana fan.

Music by: Max Kroven (I really debated with myself if i should include actual Nirvana's music in this review, but since i could quickly venture i would get the hell DMCA'd out of me, i opted to use my own music, that's all there is to it, so please don't read too much into it).

  • Out of all of the 'reviews' of this box set, yours is the most comprehensive and informative. It felt like you were speaking to all of the true Nirvana fans out there. Thanks.

  • @mikesea thanks so much for that... Nirvana is one of my all-time favorite bands, and i'm glad that it shows through my words :)

  • @tmofee haha, i believe in the saying "you can never have enough of a good thing", and when it comes to Nirvana, i feel it totally applies :)

  • @MaxKrovenReviews no, I've got the MFL's CD version, and a copy on vinyl, i THINK it's just an average copy from holland. yes, I'm obsessed :P

  • @tmofee hahahwow, you actually got the Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs vinyl! that thing is totally sold out now! oh well, to me, this release is worth its value just for the CD03 alone, but i can understand not owning 3 copies of the same thing, hahah

  • @MaxKrovenReviews I've got it on vinyl and the 24 k gold remaster (which doesn't have the loudness cranked) ... my brain is telling me "don't buy it again, fool" :P

  • @tmofee and also, In Utero wasn't as commercially succesful as Nevermind, so i wonder if DGC will put as much effort in its re-release as it did it this time around..

  • @brunobb1 if this edition sells out, and i'm sure it will, i'm pretty sure they'd give In utero a chance as well.. we'll have to wait that album turns 20 and see :)

  • @tmofee that's also a good alternative, you're gonna miss the photobook, but if you can live without that, then the itunes version definitely is the way to go

  • @brunobb1 thanks! and yeah, i know, it's around $100, but believe, it's SO worth it, you can't imagine... plus, it¡s only 10,000 copies available for the U.S., 30,000 for the rest of the world, so it's gonna be a collector's item for sure
