  • Thanks for your comments. I'll keep working on my technique. I just want to assure everyone that I am working together with my mentor and my vet. and that I've read a book or ten on the subject of cat breeding.

  • i've never felt the need to comment on a youtube video, but this really bothers me. it's so clear that you need to NOT touch the cat. please don't "work" on your technique. the only technique you should practice is to back off. there is NO reason to "help" the cat. especially by grabbing her tail tightly and pulling up her behind. that's just ridiculous.

  • Since you are the second person to discuss the grabbing of the tail: It is vital when a kitten is born "in breach" (tail-first) that the mother not be allowed to sit on the kitten when it is in the last stages of delivery as this can result in death to the kitten. That was why I was lifting her tail.

  • Just To Let You Know

Cats Need PRIVACY to give birth

  • Dude, I know what I am doing. Cats need a lot of options for different places giving birth. The best thing that can possibly happen is what happened with this cat. She CHOSE to have her babies on my bed I didn't force her to, and she greatly appreciated the help I gave her. Thank you very much for your uninformed opinion.

  • I have the SAME exact kind of cat. Her name is gracie love, and she had 4 kittens, but they all died bc they were all premature:( PS does ur cat meow a lot???? cause mine doesnt shut up.

  • hi anyone want to chat

    great vid vu

  • my brother said: i wanna eat one of those kittens

  • My dad's a vet. Usually when the tail comes first and you don't act quickly they suffocate. Nice vid, but you should have calmed your cat and put her at easy in stead of 'posing' her for the camera.

  • Not all cats need privacy, My cat Peaches would not stay on her own, she kept on coming out of her nesting area and crying for someone to be there with her. she gave birth to two beautiful kittens within 15 mins a little tabby girl we named Toots and a silver grey tabby boy we named Mr Shady.

  • Maybe the cat gives the birth on your bed, but you DON`T have to touch her again and again!!! Let she doing the work, she knows what to do. And I am NOT uninformed! I hate it when a human being thinks she knows everything about cats an givin birth. You don`t know nothing darlin!

  • Kool, never seen a cat give birth.
