@Chockarblock I've always thought Micheal Chilkis would have been an interesting choice to play Kojak just because he's got the street smart charisma and presence not to mention the attitude for the character IMHO.

@Crazcompart I'd say Vin Diesel is the best choice for a major "rebooting" of Kojak. This, of course, assumes he's interested in the series and the formula. But if he was he'd have more than enough physical presence and sex appeal to put bums on seats in the cinema.

my dad was bald in the 1960s there working now defunct stewart and warner plant in chi town there always lovved him being the plants fire chief there.. wayy cool..

Theo Kojak would make en excellent movie nowadays, but with Savalas gone, who'd play the character properly?

@Crazcompart When they remade it a few years ago with Ving Rames, that was as close to a modern version in attitude as there could be. It just should not have used the name "Kojak" though, because that was silly.
I would nominate Jason Statham, but he's a few years too young yet. Bruce Willis doesn't need the money. It's not like there are a lot of bald actors to choose from. Telly was one of a kind!
