A Pilanel Folksong from The Riddle by Alison Croggon, book 2 of the Books of Pellinor. I messed up a little bit on the lyrics, sorry Alison :-/

Lyrics belong to Alison Croggon.

Music belongs to Abigail Fitzsimmons. Don't steal either of them!

  • This is so great! I love the Pellinor series--the music aspect of the books are what makes them so great. I love your interpretation of the song!

  • @D4productions1 Thank you! I know, I love the very poetic style of the books and the music included makes the characters more relatable.

  • This is beautiful, I adore the Pellinor books so much; the poems and some words spoken touch my heart. I'm designing a tattoo inspired by them! I'd be interested to hear more of your Pellinor work? x

  • @fairyvampiress I NEED to post my newest stuff...I have some purely instrumental stuff that needs portions from the books added as explanation of the part. Hopefully soon. :-) And thank youu! I would love to see pictures of your tattoo design!

  • Your voice suits this style of music so well. :)! Do you have a friend that does the backing with you? Recorder? (?) It sounds really authentic. Love the books and your singing!

  • @MissMikaelaB Hee, thanks again. No, I have GarageBand on my computer. It's a part of the iLife package for a Mac...it's got artificial instruments and I can use the keys like a piano keyboard (though a bit limited...I want a real keyboard xD). I really like it! I can record like a single track of melody, then plug in headphones and record myself (I have a spare bedroom that works great for that) and then go back and record new instrumental tracks after. Easier than paying a friend. :D

  • Very evocative. Raven as carrion eater, raven as messenger...very good.

  • Thank you! And yes, the Crow was good...but too dark and sad for my taste. The Singing was wonderful. :D
