Rhode Island declared independence on May 4th 1776 (yes MAY). See modern day celebrations as the Newport Artillery Company honors William Ellery - Newport's founding father; as the population are read the Declaration of Independence again and the Artillery offers a 21 gun salute to America's birthday with bronze cannon cast by Paul Revere.

  • this reminds me of the maciac island i was there 1 time and they fired the cannon at the fort i dont kow how that little kid could stand to be around that noise cause when the cannon went off it made me jump a mile hight it scared the crap out of me
