  • I bought it for 500$ thinking that it would be a major job to restore it. But after cleaning it I took a compression test showing that it was in brand new condition. Then why not try to start the sucker. Success

  • i just want to know what all do i need to wire up in order to test fire my 73 351m?

  • Well not much at all. Just power to the ignition and a waterhose feeding the pump

  • @chopperchuck a 69 closed chamber 351 4V Windsor was just as nasty belive it or not. (Clevelands are notorious for cracking cyl walls and main webbings when over bored just a little... and thats the main reason they did'nt dominate more than they did... BUT.. a 351 C head modded to a Windsor block = Clevor! prob solved :-) *bore spacing & bolt centers are the same, needs special manifold and drilling of two water passages on head surface to match windsor block... (to exit water @ manifold)

  • @madpainter69 Wow!

  • @ryans2kidz

It goes to the carb if its a aftermarket carb it is somethims marked "dis"

let me know if that helps.

you do not want to hook it to direct port vacume

  • @xvrit Well i did not find my 351c

I did find a 400m , I deleted the smog and added Edlbrock cam and bearings and lifters, Cloyes timing chain, Edlbrock 650 4bbr carb and Edlbrock intake.full lenth headers and resealed the engine im putting it in a 83 short bed 2wd F-150... just some thing to get me back and forth to work...lol

  • @BayAreaBoxer

You can fix the one you have ... 400 good engine. is it a 2 bbr engine?

a good cam and a 4 bbr intake and carb... will wake it up and sometimes get better fuel milage.

I'm installing one in my 83 f-150 just dependeds on what you are looking for it to do.

  • I'm looking for 351c/fmx

  • interesting cooling system!!

  • @willDANCEforPENNIES 70-71 2v 351C were rated at 220hp and about 350 ft lbs. 72-74 were about 155 hp.

  • @kblackav8or It all interchanges.

  • Sounds good! i want to put a 302 or a 351 in my 58 wagon.would you happen to know if it bolts right up or what steps do i need to take?
