Dark Knight beats the shit out of T2, Empire Strikes Back, etc, etc. You all just saw a modern day classic. Let it breathe. Under than Robocop, I can't think of an action movie that surpasses it.

hahaha what? First off you think robocop is comparable to TDK and then T2 and Empire are beaten by it with ease? That my friend is ridiculous. TDK is not as good as T2 or Empire. Yes It is a modern classic for sure, but it is not as good as those two movies. In fact Empire is in a whole other league to TDK.

Interesting comparison But remember T2 had three chase scenes That most "action" movies today would never even attempt. I too would rate T2 as all time classic because of the cinematography ,lighting , & special effects. I ask. Have you ever seen Los Angeles filmed like that since? Only Collateral came close.

Yes I did compare Robocop to T2 and Empire. It along with movies like Gattaca paints one of the most realistic visions of the future seen in sci-fi. Have you been to America recently? Great story, wonderful direction, awesome action. You want to compare the drama of a man being resurrected by science who saves a city from the corporation that now owns him and is in league with his killers to a naive boy who finally finds out his father isn't who he thought he was?

Fair enough I was prob a bit harsh on robocop, but my opinion still stands, it is not near as good a TDK, T2 or Star Wars. Can you pleae enlighten me to what the oscars were that it won ?

Robocop a B movie?! R U Serious?! I am not the only one who whould disagree with you. It won several oscars. People will look back on the Dark Knight as a movie that surpasses Empire Strikes back easily and won a tough 12 round decision over T2. Go take your toy lightsaber and use it to pleasure James Cameron.

Hey man its a great movie but you cant compare it to those classics until it has been around a few years. Those fims have become part of culture and have aged incredibly well, to me T2 is pretty much unsurpassable as are the original Star Wars. Right now I think TDK may equal them but it is too soon to judge.

As for Robocop, that is a joke B movie, in no way does it compare.
