Officially recorded by national hitting expert Perry Husband who believes Matisse can still improve by 5 to 7 mph. 2009 graduate from Shaker Heights High School, Shaker Heights, OH, 4.2 GPA. 1970 SAT. Plays OF/3rd/Closer 6.8 60 time, throws 92 mph fast ball, 90 mph from OF with good range & carry, 1.000 Fielding with 8 assists this spring,11 stolen bases (fast with 7 infield hits.) you are missing a seriously important factor in your critiques and it is not bat speed. It is how quickly one can unload the swing. A good place to measure from is how many frames from heel contact of the front foot to contact of the bet head with the ball. The last player was sinificantly slower than the first. 1 frame slower is a significant difference.
