I Duracoat and refinish a stock with Birchwood Casey's "stock refinishing kit" on a Stevens model 311 double barrel shotgun. duracoat is REM870 black and the stock is stained walnut

  • I just perchest the the same gun "stevens 311 12ga" I pick it up on 3-11-12 and it's in really bad shape It's my project gun I'm going to blue it. I will post a before and after. I do like the black looks cool.

  • @tsali1293 There is one big screw in the hole you will find behind the butt pad on the stock. You will need a long flat screwdriver to get to the head of the screw.

  • How did you get the Hardware out of the butt stock? I only see one screw that holds the trigger guard. I can't see what is holding the stock to it.. Any help?

  • I like the results. Does this type of re-finishing take away from its overall value? Some might think so, I do not believe it would if your results look better than the camera captured. I just sub'ed your channel so I will look at the other vids on this project.
