i`ve done this mod, but didn`t remove the end oiff of the tapco mag works fine....

maybe just welding on a crescent shaped metal piece like on an albanian bolt carrier just on the opposite side....

@Target008 the geometry is the same for ALL magAdapters... the difference between the generations of the adapters is how they install.... I ONLY sell Gen3 adapters nowadays... the Gen 1 was just too hard to install for a LOT of guys (who maybe didn't take shop in High School)... The Gen 3 installs in 5 minutes and is a breeze...

@Jweirdo181 IF you have never performed ANY mods on your bolt... Then you do NOT need to perform the sksMagAdapter Bolt Mod..... HOWEVER... MANY people LOVE the "Drop-Free" bolt mod... which allows them to load and/or unload their detachable mags REGARDLESS of the sks bolt's forward or rearward position.... IF someone has done the "drop-Free" mod, THEN YES... they ought ALSO perform this sksMagAdapter bolt mod... the reason is explained at 4:35 on THIS video...

@DuFlux and if i sent my mags in to you to mod to DBL's, is it $15 a piece or $15 bucks for each shipment?

have you taken a shot at moving the charging handle on the bolt carrier to the opposite side to make tactical reloads faster and smoother? if so i would love to see how as i intend to try this myself
