  • Sorry to hear about your issue. It sounds like you had a posterior surgery (pedicle screws?)

  • Very informative! I need to find a surgeon to perform the ALIF. I'm in an incredible amount of pain and the doctors have me on all kinds of medications. Where are you guys located?

  • @TheBscheffer Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, closest airport Spokane, Washington (GEG), about 30 minutes.

    Regards.

  • Thank you for taking time to make these informative video's. My husband has to have the anterior L4, L5, S1 fusion done. This has encouraged him to go ahead and get it done after, 2 cervical surgeries and 2 lumbar surgeries he has been terrified to go for this one but his legs are giving out on him and his pain level is increasing. So again thank you, your work is appreciated.

  • @WingsOfASnowhiteDove You are very welcome! We certainly hope that your husband has success with his surgery. Thank you for the complement, our AV team is thrilled to hear from you.

  • Glad you found it useful. Please let us know if there is a particular procedure that you think might be helpful to put on video.

    Regards

  • DID YOU SAY DOC JONES, is it the same dr. Tom Jones from santa Barbra California, getting prepared mentally to do a L3, L4, L5 bi level fusion, seems like the Anterior approach is much cleaner and fasting healing? thanks for the video because not knowing what they will be exactly doing scares the heck out of me. I'm a little more encouraged not to run from my dec 1st surgery date

  • i just had back surgery 1 week ago. i am 33 and have degenerative disc disease that never bothered me until last year. i tried every possible option before even considering surgery . from what ive seen from this video it looks like this is the procedure that i had. i had 2 levels done though, l4-l5 and l5-s1. so far i am in constant pain and worse than before the surgery. i know it is still early though. i am praying for the best and as soon as i get relief i will update.

  • Useful to me too. I have been living with degenerative disc disease with bulging in the L5 S1 since 24 and just now starting to get the REAL help I need if I get it that is.

  • In 2004, I under went an ALIF with stabilization in New Jersey, resulting in complication. What had happened was a pedicle screw was "miss-measured" and pierced the vertebra at L5 hitting the sciatic nerve root. They removed the screw with an additional 2 hours during this procedure. 6 days later, they did a laminectomy at L5 in-order to relive inflammation caused by the "complication."

I live in constant pain, leaving me 100% disabled and in complete distress for the rest of my life.
