You're not wrong, but if you're looking for a country without sin, you won't find one. That some people in Japan, to say nothing of the government, are corrupt doesn't mean that your average guy on the street, who's worked hard his whole life, deserves to suffer from the recession.
That's the problem with situations like this. The guilty ones get away because they have the money; it's the innocent people who get the brunt of it. At least, in my experience.
