This is to show how incredibly well Meguiar's new (for 2009) Ultimate Quik Wax beads water away from the paint. I applied a single coat of the UQW ONE WEEK before filming this, and it rained for 4 days during that week. Here in San Diego, our rain tends to be acidic and is very harsh on waxes- clearly UQW held up just fine...

  • Great demo Mark!, UQW is becoming one my favorite products. Megs makes amazing products, only meguiars for my car!

  • @69chevymaro Thanks! I love this stuff, too. Definitely one of my fav. Meguiar's products of all-time!

  • I have a question, my corolla car has body kits, i noticed that my side skirts are not that shiny compared to my hood and others parts, is that really normal? My theory is maybe car manufacturers dont put much attention on making the body kits shiny.

  • @JakeHustle2 Hey Jake, not sure how I missed this, but my guess is the body kit has single stage paint and thus is oxidizing faster. You want to get some Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and try that on there, followed by a cleaner wax and then a true wax sealant.

  • @gshdrums Keep in mind there is now Tech Wax 2.0, as well as the latest product Ultimate Wax (liquid and paste versions). Tech Wax came out about 10 years ago... so comparing it to other modern products doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

  • @gshdrums The Tech Wax shouldn't have to "hide" anything if everything was properly polished and prepared beforehand. That was probably one of the most ground breaking waxes introduced to the consumer market. If you go to an AutoZone or Walmart, there still is no other product/brand as good as NXT Tech Wax.

  • @megafast13 Because most of there products arnt that good compared to stuff like, Poorboys, Zaino, Duragloss, Collinite, Optimum......There waxes arnt that good, there tech wax is crap, it hides everything for about a week and vanishes, only good stuff are there washes, ultimate quick wax, quick detailers, and interior detailer

  • @gshdrums How are you not a Meguiars fan?!?!

  • Im not a Meguiars fan at all, only a handful of there products i like, but i bought this to try, and it really is amazing, its almost like a paste wax, apply it to your windows, saves buying Rain-X......Rubbers, black plastics. Lasts a while to and the whole car takes about 6-7 minutes....

  • @yangster84 I have tested as far out as 2 months with visible protection still there. This can vary based on how well the surface is prepped, how often and with what you wash the car and how much time is spent outside, rain etc.

Expect a solid month at least.

  • @Lumadar Thanks for the idea man, but the reply is too late! Just kidding!
