Granted this is NOT a good look for him, but Joaquin did make a few attempts at jokes and conversation (especially about his band) which Letterman shot down pretty hard. Letterman even interrupted him quite a bit and gave him a hard time. It's obvious that Joaquin was main uncomfortable.
