@manzilla86 That is the best news I've heard in a while. Now I'll just have to track it down :)

@danieljonesy We have hobgoblin in the US. I mainly remember it because I tried to reuse the bottle when home brewing but my bottle capper couldn't handle the different bottle type. They have a pretty cool website, I just looked at it.

@donosborn I tried a sour beer for the first time a week ago and I had to dump it. It was rather sweet and reminded me of champagne. I do enjoy me some champagne on rare occasion, but even the beer was sweeter than some of the champagnes I've had. Are they all like this? The flavor was darn good, but it made my teeth want to fall out.

@rocknrollpriest Hey congrats! You had your first one. It is not an easy thing to get your mind around, if you have not had those flavors before. No, they are not all like that. They range from lightly sour with a good amt of sweetness (look for Rodenbach Grand Cru or Duchesse De Bourgogne in 750 ml bottles for good entry level sours), to mouth puckering, enamel scraping tart lambic guezes. It took me a while to develop the taste for them, but I am forever glad I did. cheers.

You only drink one pint a day?? That is really impressive...Good for you...

@MeMcNeills I didn't want to drink this entire bottle in one day, because it's the kind of beer you want to savor. Rest assured, other beers were harmed during the course of that evening. :)

This is the kind of beer that I would love to know how YOU would go about making (is saying that, I realise that you probable have no idea what that beer is :P ). Anyway, just a suggestion, but the next time you start a brew, maybe you could explain what you are aiming for and how you hope to achieve it. Keep up the good work and keep drinking good beer :)

@danieljonesy Thanks for the comments. We might get hobgoblin in the US, not sure. But you would want to either see if anyone has tried a "clone" recipe of it, or else just read about other styles that are similar to it and brew one of those. Like maybe an amber ale? (or is it a lager?) Or a red ale? I normally either start with a specific style I am trying to brew and sometimes use Brewing Classic Styles for a starter recipe. Or else I create something new based on my experience. cheers
