In Dominion, each player starts with an identical, small deck of cards. In the center of the table is a selection of other cards the players can "buy". Players construct their deck on the fly, striving for the most victory points by game end.

  • Maybe the rules changed for the later edition of the game I have, but what you state at 4:50 is no longer correct. If your deck doesn't have five cards left in it, you draw as many as you can, then shuffle your discard into your deck again and keep drawing until you have 5.

  • Your shuffling technique is one I came up with back in 1995 when my buddies and I started playing the Spellfire CCG. As the decks were 55 cards in size, I used 11 piles to mix the cards after designing my deck, and that also gave an easy way to make sure I had the right number of cards in the deck. You DO need to shuffle at least once, though, to mix the cards properly.

  • Looks awesome! :D

  • This is one of the best tactical card games Ive ever played. Great stuff.

Love the massive replay value due to the different deck selections.

  • My Dr. Sweetheart and I just bought Dominion; it's really fun. I was pretty into M:TG a few years ago, and this reminded me of that only without the constant buying of cards. What I like is that Dominion has a lot of replay value; the different card combinations allow for a bunch of cool synergies and chain reactions. Plus, the rules are dead simple, so it's not stressful to play.

  • you didn't put the curse stack.

  • Thanks so much for walking us through the first steps of this game! It's very helpful!

  • my dad wants it.

  • Good job being the first to mention this game, looks promising?
