Nothing can ever replace the original series or original KITT. the series could have been written more like season 2 and in a more serious fashion but every character in the series is unforgettable. Nothing now has the depth of characterization shows in those days had. Almost everything these days are cheap rewrites, empty, violent action scenes, or staged "reality" shows. KR 2008 doesn't hold a candle to the original and never will.

@Zuckerspinne ähem...hust hust! Ich gönne zwar Jedem seine eigene Meinung! Dennoch war Team Knight Rider nur noch ein Abklatsch des Originals! Storyline, die Charaktere und die Fahrzeuge waren einfach nur lächerlich! Dann noch das Flugzeug als Ersatz für den Semi-Truck! Nein danke! haha....! Zur neuen Serie: zu viel schlechte Computereffekte, fast keine Stunts mit dem echten Fahrzeug. Die Inszenierung des Turboboots ist einfach zum Einschlafen. Lieber ein echtes Fahrzeug dass über Autos springt.

The original is a part of the gen x childhood, you cant duplicate it for y. Plus David Hasslehoff's interaction with Kit is what made it epic. Anyone who has to see an updated version of something from the 80's needs radiation therapy asap.

ich bin mit dem alten kitt aufgewachsen, ich kenne jede folge der serie bzw. hatte sogar hörspielkasetten.
aber ich war auch immer offen für neues, ich habe auch team knight rider gemocht.
und der neue kitt sieht einfach stylisch aus. morgen ist es hier in deutschland soweit. ich bin soooo gespannt :)
sorry das ich das jetzt in deutsch geschrieben hab...ich bin bei langen texten nicht so gut in englisch

nothing will ever duplicate the excitement and enthusiasm of the original series, no matter if they want to mix Transformers with Knight Rider just to attract the younger kids, the new version is just a bunch of action scenes with no depth or character story, the old KITT had deep feelings and personality, the new KITT is nothing more than a glorified machine
