Searching for hidden textbooks and solving challenging engineering problems, about 80 engineering students, alumni and faculty recently converged on campus for the College of Engineerings first Iditarod competition.
The contest required each team to build a sled to transport multiple textbooks hidden near the engineering buildings. Each book corresponded to a prize donated by sponsors, such as campus bookstore scholarships, restaurant gift certificates, a white water rafting trip, ski passes, and golfing awards. Prizes were also awarded for the team with the most spirit, creativity and best costumes.
