Its an evil cat, besides in the original story of Cinderella it was a bit more violent as the step mother was so desperate to get the shoe to fit her daughters she cut the toes off of one and the heel of the other. Be glad that wasn't in the disney version, keeping the cats name was good compared to what they could of kept.
