Test details:

The Pontiac G6 convertible was introduced in the 2006 model year.

Restraints/dummy kinematics — Dummy movement was not well controlled. During the crash, the driver seat came loose on one of its tracks and moved forward 4 inches on the left side. The dummy's head slid around the left side of the airbag and hit the instrument panel.

Injury measures — Measures taken from the head, neck, and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the right tibia indicate that lower leg injuries would be possible. Head acceleration from the instrument panel hit was low.

  • Pontiac Grand Am GT..they are great someone hit my car in the back(BADLY)and it has 150400 mi. On it and still runs great...(the car never got fixed because my insurance didn't cover it)

  • I can see why Pontiac has been discontinued now.

  • If a pontiac G6 looks like this when it crashes, can I see a 2006 pontiac grand prix?

  • @adam22oflasvegas yeah this one doesnt look safe. I can tell you though that the sedan g6 is very safe. Today

my sister accidently crashed my g6 going 60 miles on the highway and smashed into a concrete barrier twice. She is perfectly fine.

  • u have no chance

  • the 2005-2010 Pontiac G6 was assembled in

    Lake Orion, Michigan, United States

  • @ChanceGTO1967 GOVERNMENT TESTS !!!!!!!! This is Totaly different test. The goverments is very unrealistic

  • lol you guys no nothing about crash testing. you WANT the car front to smash in.

  • I just got in my first crash with a 2007 pontaic g6 only 3 days ago, I was rear ended by a 1986 ford with a metal pushbumper it going 55 mph and my car completly stopped, my car ended up substaining $8,500 worth of damage, but all I have came out with is some minor back injures. My car actually held up pretty well. No glass shattered at all and it was still driveable after the accident, but even though being in a crash was a terrifiing experince, I thank my car for keeping me the safestpossible
