"Thanks Joe" I said stumbling in the door.

"I'll call you tomorrow." He said as I half listened. I walked up to Tyler's room and threw on some pajama pants and Kevin's t-shirt.

"Do you think she'll be okay?"

"I don't know. She loves him Joe."

"I know." He said looking up at the sky. "I'll stop by in the morning, she shouldn't be alone. Try and make sure she sleeps." He hugged her and headed down the walkway.

"Oh and give her this." He said walking back to Tyler. "She slipped it in my hand at the beach. She'll want it." He put it in Tyler's hand and walked across the street to his house.

"Night!" She said watching him cross the street. She looked up at the sky and noticed her bedroom light flick on. "Teigan"

I was sitting on Tyler's bed crying. I felt so helpless.

"Oh hunnie, what are you wearing?" She said plopping on the bed next to me.

"What!? It's comfortable" I said while crying.

"It's KEVINS!" She yelled.

I didn't respond. She was right. I should be burning it, along with all the pictures and things Kevin has given me.

"Here" she said breaking the silence and handing me a shinny silver ring. It was the one Kevin had given me when we first started dating.

"I don't want—"

"Take it." She said placing it in my hand. I looked down at my closed fist, not wanting to move.

"Come on" She said giving me a hug. "Let's get ready for bed. Joe will be here in the morning for breakfast."

I didn't sleep much that night. The moon shined through the curtains. I took the ring off the night stand and sat along the window seat examining it. It was beautiful. Small and shinny with two hearts cut out in the center. Along the inside of the band was an inscription. "You'll Never Dream Alone Kevin & Teigan" I felt the tears stream down my face. Morning would soon be here. I threw on some jeans and my flip-flops and headed out the door with my sweatshirt.

"I thought you loved her?" Joe said walking in Kevin's room.

He was silent, starring out the window.

"You know, she's a mess. Dude, you're my brother so I have to support your decisions, But she's my best friend and I have to support her too. I hope you know what you're doing. " He said walking back to his room.

Kevin didn't move. It was already 5:00 am and he hadn't slept all night.

"She's gone! Just though you should know that!" Joe yelled a few minutes later running out of his room.

"Wait! what?" Kevin said following him across the street. "Tyler, what's going on!?"

"You're an ass and Teigan's gone." She said as Joe laughed.

"Hey guys" Nick said putting on a shirt and walking over to Tyler's. "Teigan, I saw her walking this morning. What's going on?"

"She's at the beach" Kevin said closing his eyes.

Sooo, what do you think?? Im open to all ideas.

P.S the music in the 2nd half really doesn't have too much to do with the story.

YAY first commentor.. hehe.. anywho... I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I like how you don't know what Kevin did and that you don't know how they met. It's a mystery and if it was a book.. it would definitely be a non-stopping page turner. one of the things i really love about this story is the fact that it takes place in a town thats like on the beach, just like the one i live in. i'm always just walking down there to hang out with my friends or just to think. it's always were i go when something's happened in my life, just like teigan!
