how hard are these species to keep? i'm just afraid of the inking.. are they easily spooked?

Hair algae has been taking over my tank despite constant water changes and cleaning - popped one of these little chaps in and the very first night three rocks were picked clean (just another 50 or so to go - it's a 6ft tank). Great little algae muncher!
