The owner is a Fire Chief of a local municipality. He should know better! I just wish his own house BURNS!

  • WHAT ???

PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS and EMPLOYEES MUST RELIGIOUSLY OBSERVED

SECTION 7 OF REPUBLIC ACT NO.6713 OF THE "Code of Conduct

and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees."

F/Sr. Insp. RUFINO SANTOS of Angeles City BFP owner and doing business as manufacturer of fire extinguishers under the business name NELSAN ENTERPRISES with business address at 5083 P.Balagtas st.Sta Teresita Angeles City.

  • When putting out a type-A fire with any extinguisher, but especially a dry chemical type, you are supposed to kick over the pile after knocking down the outer flames to get the lower flames. Sure baking soda burns, causing a temporary flare, but it decomposes into CO2, adding to its extinguishing power.

Still, I always thought baking soda was only used in BC extinguishers.

  • Sorry man I apologize, I did not know you lost a finger in all this mess I use to be a firefighter here in my own small town and it is a tough and demanding job, hope all is well with you now, truly,,,,Gary

  • it was hard to type back then with a finger that was just chopped off. thanks for the note

  • either you type too fast or just cannot spell words properly check your spelling man, maybe your just tired

  • ABC powder is yellow. BC powder is white. He was trying to put out a class A fire with a Class BC extinguisher. Guess what? I doesn't work!

  • what brand is that fire extinguisher?

  • any personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection should not endorse, sell any kind / brand of fire extinguishers. It will be a conflict of interest to their position. Otherwise, they should resign to their present position.

  • If it's marked as an ABC powder extinguisher then there is a problem, but as a bicarb based extinguisher if it is marked as a BC then it's fine - the user should ensure they purchase & install the right extinguisher for the fire risk present.

Using HFC134a instead of FE-36 in a portable is definitely bad - very bad.

  • wrong kind of fire extinguisher for the type of fire. Dumb ass. read the lable and break up the fire source. use proven firfighting methods Iwill be at mos on the 21st of fep ill show you how
