Blade in Brain: Huge knife removed from head of Chinese man after 4 years

A patients who complained for years of headaches was found to have a 10 centimetre (four inch) dagger blade embedded in his skull, China state broadcaster CCTV reported. Doctors at the People's Hospital in Yuxi city say they made the discovery after patient Mr. Ni, also known as Li Fu, visited seeking treatment for what he suspected was ear canal disease. Mr Ni, who did not want to to reveal his full true identity, is thought to have sustained the injury in a fight with a robber four years ago. The blade showed up clearly after CT (Computed Axial Tomography) scans were taken. Mr Ni said he had suffered frequent headaches ever since the battle with the robber. He also suffered occasional bleeding from the mouth and had difficulty swallowing, according to reports. His voice also became hoarse and he sometimes found it hard to speak coherently. Mr Ni claimed he had undergone several hospital examinations, but doctors had been unable to find a cause for his symptoms.

How in the hell is this possible. The man says that he thinks he got the knife stuck in his head when he fought off a robber 4 years ago. How is it possible not to know with 100% certainty that you have been stabbed in the head? How do the doctors not find it when he went to the hospital the first time. WTF!!!???

a more detailed report explained. He knew he got stabbed in the mouth by the knife. But didn't know the handle broke off while the blade remained in his head. He thought the robber pulled the knife out. His mouth wound healed. Then headaches started. I guess he thought it was the long term effects of the stabbing, never thinking the blade remained in his head.

Ah, I know this trick....he used to walk around for years with a knife sticking from his head to impress chicks at parties "oh, you noticed the knife sticking from my jaw, yeah it's way cool, thats a gold embossed mother-of-pearl handle"

Then he probablly got drunk and knocked the handle off getting into a taxi or something, and needed help to fish out the blade, so he's all "oh yeah, I'm a badass who fights off robbers and don't feel nothin' no matter what".....sure pal, right...
