Live At The Bridgewater Palace Theatre, November 17th, 2002. The band would go on to play four more shows before Strummer's death a month later.

This concert is notable for the airing of several infrequently played songs: Coma Girl, Get Down Moses, 1969 (an Iggy & The Stooges cover), and a somewhat retooled Police & Thieves.

Also, there's nothing I can do about the compression problems with the video. Compression artifacts are inherent to the source, as is the mild high-end audio distortion.

  • THE MESCALERO'S really hit their stride on this track. Listen to the backup vocals, the Mescalero's are almost overpowering Joe.

Joe finaly found the band that could play clash songs to the letter, but make them their own. The originals were even better then anything the clash had done!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a great gig!

    What a great singer!

In this heart, there's really RocknRoll!

    Rock the Angels, Joe!

  • but hey, without people, you're nothing

  • I really love Joe with the Mescaleros, and in general in that period of his career... This is an amazing performance with great musicians... They believed in what they were doing and singing about... This is what music should be!

  • its sad that there arent a whole lot of people like joe around anymore to give us that.R.I.P joe

  • Faith in humanity--that's what Joe gives me . And it's always available in the form of great music, but this performance is just outstanding and shows that intense passion and commitment to his ideals . God, but we need that more than ever nowadays!

  • I loved The Clash so much when I was a young man, I honestly thought the only way was down after they split. Strummer, indomitable spirit and man of integrity that he was, proved that was not the case. What a genius, what an influence! He talked the talk and walked the walk, an example to us all. So tragic that we've lost him.

  • Gone too soon. Too bad. Joe was getting back on track again. Thanks for the video.

    GREAT TRIBUTE!

  • I love this song. Saw the Clash twice.

  • I MISS JOE !!!!!

  • i love this song did joe write it
