He turned his back toward the audience in the beginning because the MC (SuChin Pak) was introducing him. It was a live studio recording soI guess that's how they do it.

was this shown on tv?? i remember when Rain was on there i didnt hear about it till 2 weeks after and i dont think it was shown live =/

i think it was shown on MTVK (you can also watch it on mtv.com)...i believe you can get the channel through DirectTV
