i have another thing to say, today i tried to scale down alot the container and the emitter object but seems i couldnt see anything to happend - so the selution for this is to incease the tempeture by close to 50 ! okay still cant see the flame in dealectric material, brb

by the way you need to play abit with your opacity start point when you start the animation. the start point is allmost at the same point as the defult point , the scale should look like this this / just move the left point abit up

first of all thanks again for your tutorial's they realy help's alot , but please please please stop going round and round over things that are not importent at the time . its hard to remember stuff that way . can you just focus on the main stuff, your way to tiech is way to difficult to catch. when someone is trying to folow your leassons step by step from video its like pause every two steps and going over maya and ticking the right thing and then undo it, its messy !

@romanhorol I try and be as direct as possible but if you have ever tried to create a tutorial on complex topics like these tutorials, you will run into the same issues. And, these instructions are not an exact play by play description, but rather a guideline of how to experiment. And yes, you should be pausing, taking notes, and going on to the next steps. I also will lead people to make common mistakes on purpose in order to show what went wrong and how to fix the problem.

@deepfriedectoplasm hey stuart iam sure that in some way its good to lead people make mistakes and learn few soft points wich makes the diffrent iam really not that stupid and i got your point after watching some of your tutorials . aim not trying being rude, it was just a suggestion . but as for me when it comes to notes your video's should be the note ! and when i want to use this note at the future i will have to go over all this part 1 and 2 again ?! , well never mind we both right (-:

@romanhorol No worries my friend! I know exactly what you are saying! No offense taken. Tutorials are a strange mix of teaching concepts that apply to general creation...and I want to make sure that the basics are covered. Sometimes I forget as I progress in the tutorial that I covered something already. Often times, I have to go back and watch my tutorials in order to use the effect or concept in a new project. Maya is crazy sometimes!

Stuart, how do you start and stop the emitter. Like I wanted to create a simple effect of burning rubber on aircraft touchdown. After watching your other tutorial on 2d container (chimney smoke) I thought I can use it in my scene. I did toy around a lot with the options but to no avail. Can the 'Guru' show me the light :).......rather smoke!

@AnandKae My first approach would be to keyframe the dissipation value from full strength (O), while its touching down, up to a higher value depending on the speed at which the object is moving. This would sort of make it fade out as it is coming to a stop. There's lot's of variables though and other ways but that is where I would start. I'm not at the computer for a while but I'll take a closer look soon. Hope that helps for the moment!
