Update: You can find samples of the finished product here: http://www.tqstudios.com/41st-century-rough-riders-style/

After deciding to reboot my Mechanized Rough Rider squad, I've prepared a quick tutorial on how I've converted Space Marine Scout Bikers into Imperial Guard Rough Riders.

  • Gw should start making some plastic cadian rough riders and catachan riders. the attilan ones look sh*t.

also they should make dark riders.

i have been thinking about making scout bike conversion cadian riders but im not too sure about cost. i mean for a squad of 10 it will be 72 GBP.

  • I agree that the conversion is cost prohibitive. However, a substantial amount of Imperial Guardsmen have been completed and I've enjoyed going back to add some finer touches.

Also updated the vid info with a link to a finished Rough Rider conversion.

  • they look really good. nice work.

i want to try and find the money to make some. also mke some normal scouts into vets with shotguns.

GW needs to get some more plastics out for the guard.

a must for most people are the stormtroopers. they need some plastics

  • If you're looking for scouts and have a mate that is getting a Space Wolf Battleforce or two, it may be worth to make an offer.

Despite the ability to come in from the opponents table edge, I don't even have close to enough FoCs to consider taking Scouts in my Wolf list.

  • GREAT JOB!!!!!

  • I do the same thing! Awesome!

  • could you just cut off the biker arms at the end of the glove and attach it to a guard arm? or is that too big a glove for the arm?

  • wow im thouroghly impressed though their use is questionable for me I still want to field one someday and planned to use bretonnian knights to do it using their cloth as camo. but you vid here gave me a better simpler option~

  • @shamtastic83 imgur dot com/P47Dz.jpg and imgur dot com/lL0TP.jpg I think the arm looks a bit "off" and I may have to adjust it.

  • @ryanisjimdandy I'd love to see a video or some pics! The small sentinel spotlight sounds like a great filler.

  • @ryanisjimdandy Thats a much more efficient method. I did my prototype away from my bits, so cutting the shoulder pads down was my solution. It was easy enough, so I continued the process.

Good luck with your conversions. Lets see them when they're done!

  • these are real nice models i like your conversian work keep it up
