This show will show you how to cook a turkey in a crock pot with green chile. This makes a great anytime feast. This meal is also easy on the budget. You can use this recipe to make turkey burritos with green chile and sour cream. Truely a great meal! This is what I made for my family this past thanksgiving day.

  • How many pounds is that turkey- so I can buy one that fits the crock pot.

  • I think this one was about 10-11 lbs, they are sold by the turkey breasts at Walmart.

  • Is that Bell Pepper??

  • I will try that, next time I want to cook a turkey or large chicken. Great idea! Turkey looked very moist with a lot of broth!

  • My spouse won't eat meat cooked from raw in a crockpot; I always have to at least brown it on top of the stove first. (To do that with a turkey you'd need either a huge Dutch oven or a roasting pan -- in which case you might as well use a roaster with a lid and just do the whole thing in the oven, the way our grandparents did before crockpots were invented.)

  • Did you forget the seasonings for the turkey? I normally marinate my turkey overnight with EVOO, Accent, mixed peppercorns and a lawry's season salt. Then I also roast my veggies and onions until they get the "burnt" part and I stick those on the bottom of the pot with a cup of chicken stock. Then I add my turkey on top.

  • It look so good but did you season it at all like be add some salt or pepper?

  • That was a great video. Thanks for posting. Had some humor in the end there. Please keep posting more tips.

  • cool

  • Great channel! maybe i will finally learn to cook something...
