Having a kid in high school I believe this is true--and BTW my son brought a census flyer home on the last day of school--and said--the teacher told them "your parents can be fined and jailed if they don't participate in this!"

First, there is no tenure, so the school CAN 'not renew' at will. Second, I'm thinking there is likely more to this than could possibly be covered in a few minutes under tv lights, though it could be used to hype an agenda. Third, who cares if a young, college-educated guy loses his job? Certainly not those at the top. If they could out-source teaching jobs you know damn well they would. But, hyey, let's all get teary over this and forget the 'little' stuff.

This is what happens when parents stop parenting and let the government do it for them. This teacher is a true American, this made me angry to see he got fired. My dad, uncle, grandfathers and other who fought for our country, a country that is so wonderful and seeing things like this being taught in the classrooms today really angers me. If you do not like freedom, and most of all, the United States, get out of the country. I would contribute money to their plane ticket. Liberalism is a mental disorder.
