My son and I went to the Edisto again in search of paleo bounty and we decided to do some filming en route to the fossil hunting site. Good thing we were prepared because we spotted an alligator and I was able to catch some video of him. Its the first alligator we've ever seen in the Edisto where we hunt, and it just serves as a reminder that there are real hazards in this hobby. Luckily the hunting spot was far from the alligator because it was loaded and I would have hated to hunt somewhere else. I got a 4 inch angustidens on this trip that is my biggest of the year so far.

  • Awesome! What camera do you use? I'm just interested even though I already have an underwater HD camcorder, I'm planning on doing some Fossil and snorkelling videos in summer when I go to Portugal! :D

  • @Allosaurid77 i use a sony cybershot tx-7 with a housing. good luck on your Portugal trip!

  • We do not understand how there are so many teeth, so big, in a freshwater river. Please explain.

  • @109ejg sea levels were much higher millions of years ago and this area was under water. big sharks have been coming here for a long time to eat whales and other large marine mammals that also called this area home. the same is true for much of the eastern coastal areas of the United States. when sharks feed, they lost their teeth which fell to the ocean bottom. some were covered with ocean sediments and became fossils. now, the river erodes those fossil formations and we find the teeth.

  • Do you sell megalodon teeth online?

  • @dinodude411 sorry but no, I don't sell megalodon teeth online. thanks for watching!
