Seabert English Intro (High Quality)

This is the English version of the introduction to Seabert, an animated series that was created by BZZ Films in Paris and originally aired in 1984.

I re-uploaded the intro since the other one is of bad quality. Unfortunately, the beginning was cut off a bit. In case anyone cares, the narrator says "Once upon a time..." Please enjoy this higher quality version.

Seabert was a great show with great lessons. They should totally re-release it or something.

@TopTrauts I agree. I'm not sure about the amount of educational cartoons which are on the air at the moment, but I believe that they should play something akin to Seabert demonstrating how human encroachment, poaching and general activity impacts wildlife populations and how to help minimize or eliminate these problems. I'm positive that informing the younger spectrum of the human population would be much more effective than trying to change the ways of (most) adults.

This was my obsession as a 5 year old. I remember wanting a Seabert doll, but back then it was hard to track down a baby seal plush, let alone a plush that wasn't a mainstream character. My dad and mom found one, tied a green piece of yarn, and put on one of those round brass tags from dads work with his name on it to make it look like Seabert. I managed to find a tape of it when I was in college a good 18 years later at a Saver's (Goodwill like store) I pop it in once in awhile for nostalgia s

@FlimsyNimsy Aw, that's so sweet that your parents even gave him a collar. I remember getting a small baby seal plush at a carnival as a pity prize. It wasn't much, but I had my own Seabert toy, so I was happy.

Wow does this bring memories back. I used to rent the vsh when Blockbuster still had them and I loved it. I agree alot with TopTrauts. This had many lessons to learn from. I think another close second that was a movie was Scamper the Penguin. While mostly a movie it still held some lesson in it.

I remember this bein' on Sundays on HBO back in '84. They really need to bring the whole collection out on DVD. Bilingual, of course. I swear, I never knew this was originally from France.
