@Honas21 Another point, how do you explain Senna vs Mansell at Spa 1987, or at Adelaide in 1992 - Senna was completely in the wrong on both occasions. We know it was well within his power to have a rival off if he felt he couldn't beat them in a fair fight (Prost 1989 & 1990 at Suzuka). You know Senna had a problem when a driver as great as Sir Jackie Stewart (a true great) tore him to shreds after Suzuka in 1990, and rightly so. Senna was a cheat, and will always be remembered like that.
@Honas21 We all know what happened next. This is how Alain Prost lucked into the 1986 title (Prost admits this himself). Williams reacted by bringing Piquet in. Incidentally, Rosberg had a tyre failure in the same race, just before Mansell.
@Honas21 He was out there because Senna indicated he should pass on that side. This is turn 9 at Interlagos. Senna making that indication is shown in other footage, which the person who made this video has chosen not to use. It was bone dry when this happened.
As for your assertion Mansell didn't score points consistently, I think 480 points from 187 starts is enough to be getting on with, don't you? Mansell lost the title in '86 because the team followed advice from the tyre supplier...
@TimBrewin No he was a hot head. Not smart. If you look at the footage again Senna is on the racing line as determined by the tyre marks already laid. This is turn 10 or 12 at Interlagos. Looks alittle damp, why is he out there. Don't let me tell you, watch the footage.
Senna, Prost Piquet scored points consistantly. Mansell either won or put it into the wall. Secondly in his early days you couldn't drive Turbo's flat-out from the flag drop. With some brains he'd have won 86-87.
Os outros pilos sao conhecidos naquela época de nao olha no retrovisor...e nao o senna, ninguem pode falar que senna estava na linha do mansell ou que ele fechou a porta... ous outros faziam muito pior com o senna! Fato!
@Honas21 Alternatively, what was Senna doing on Mansell's line? This happened time and time again, and Nigel suffered for it. By hothead, I assume you mean Mansell was a true racer - he went for every gap, just like Senna. It was just that Mansell never did anything unfair like this to another driver. Senna obviously did. Senna was brilliant, yes, but he was also a dirty cheat. Mansell never cheated.
